WHO WE ARE
Who is Cometa Switzerland
Since 1989, COMETA has developed in Italy an innovative model of social intervention, internationally recognized for its effectiveness in supporting children, young people, and families in difficult situations.
With the establishment of the Cometa Foundation Switzerland, this experience is now opening up to an international dimension, with the aim of transferring and adapting to Switzerland – and other countries – the methodologies that have made Cometa a benchmark in the fields of care and education.
The Foundation seeks to strengthen the ties between Italy and Switzerland, facilitating the exchange of good practices, skills, and resources, and promoting joint projects in the social, educational, and cultural sectors.
In this way, Cometa Switzerland aims to build an international network of solidarity, founded on shared values such as hospitality, inclusion, and respect for the individual.
At the heart of Cometa’s pedagogical model lies the concept of “inhabiting beauty”: an approach designed to highlight the uniqueness of each person through experience, helping them to fully become themselves.
Prestigious recognitions, such as its affiliation with UNESCO-UNEVOC, testify to the value and effectiveness of Cometa’s work, which has also gained global recognition. With the new Swiss Foundation, Cometa intends to further strengthen this international network, launching projects, training programs, and support initiatives aimed at local communities, with the goal of fostering growth and sharing the experience gained over more than thirty years of activity.
Cometa Switzerland is committed to generating a positive and lasting impact, promoting social integration and the well-being of the most vulnerable people through concrete activities that unite Italy and Switzerland in a shared vision of education, care, and human development.
